This is a compendium of information on traditional strategy board games from around the world and as far back as history permits. Information about board games is scattered over books, journal articles, museums, blogs and players, and much of these sources are obscure. When I come across something interesting, unusual or hard-to-find I’ll post it on this blog.

All games will be covered, as long as they are traditional (i.e. not recently invented) strategy (i.e. not based purely on chance) boardgames (i.e. not card games, role games, or sports).
